Overview
The Design Museum was moving to Kensington and needed a campaign to help raise money for their new museum space. We created "Adopt an object" - an integrated campaign which asked members of the public to adopt a design object and fund its journey to the new museum. In return adopters would receive a personalised video showing these objects making their own way to Kensington.
OOH
We created posters to go around the new Design Museum which asked viewers which object they would choose.
Social drove people to the website.
For social media sites like Facebook and Instagram we created fun animations using our poster headlines. They linked through to a specially designed section of the Design Museum website where you could see each object’s journey progressing.
The Reward For Donations
When people donated, they were rewarded with a very special film from the object thanking them for adopting it which they could then share online to encourage others to donate.
But was it a success?
The campaign proved popular in the press and with the design community. See some examples of publicity below.
More importantly, through it, the Design Museum raised enough funds to move all the objects to their new home in Kensington.
