FLEX NAIJA

Nigeria is a country rich in creativity, and home to the highest number of creators in Africa. One thing Nigerian creators love to do is to “flex”. “Flexing” is the act of showing off one’s talents and assets. And, in Nigeria, it is celebrated as a positive sign of the whole country’s success. The metaverse is an opportunity to flex like never before. But, without VR in market, creators are frustrated at losing out on early creative and financial opportunities. So we collaborated Nigerian creators to create

#Flex Naija: An Event designed to showcase the technologies Nigerians could use to be first to flex in the metaverse.

Flex Naija was a first-of-its-kind mixed reality event, designed to inspire a new wave of creation. A showcase for Nigerian AR filters, NFT artworks and avatars. With AR-enhanced performances by Nigeria’s hottest talents: Teni the Entertainer, Santi and Ayra Starr.

We publicised the event with stand-out posters.

SOCIAL

Online we told the story through Instagram and Facebook ads including videos, statics, reels and carousels.

Instant Experience

We democratised the event by using an Instant Experience as a way everyone could walk through the venue, experience the performances and hear from the creators.

But did it work?

The campaign reached 427.5 million people.

Online we reached 3 x as many people as we'd planned, in just 2.5 weeks.

450 Creators attended the event and posting about it online, generating 750 #FlexNaija posts.

The press loved it too.

It even changed brand sentiment.

And most importantly,

The campaign helped Nigeria flex like never before.
